Cargo insurance: being explored
We are exploring possible partnerships with qualified insurance companies for optional insurance on high-value shipments. Insurance is not currently available, and there is no confirmed launch date. You can register your interest in the inquiry form.

Trust and provider verification
WASL is a digital platform and does not own a truck fleet; transport is carried out by independent providers that you choose. That is why we review every provider before they take part:
Read about safety and verification- Driver accounts are reviewed before they can make offers.
- Identity documents are collected, and residency documents where applicable.
- Vehicles, their documents and photos are approved.
- Two-way ratings after every completed trip.
- Accounts that break the rules can be suspended.

WASL is currently available within Baghdad and Basra and their nearby areas, and between the two cities in both directions.
Business questions
Is WASL a trucking company with its own trucks?
No. WASL is a digital platform connecting businesses with independent transport providers whose accounts and vehicles have been reviewed. The provider you choose carries out the transport.
Can you arrange recurring or project transport?
You can post recurring or project shipments; each shipment receives offers separately, subject to provider availability. Our team can help you set up your requests.
How does payment work?
Currently, payment is made in cash directly to the transport provider according to the agreed offer. WASL does not process payments.
Do you offer cargo insurance?
Not currently. We are exploring possible partnerships with insurance companies for optional insurance on high-value shipments; there is no confirmed launch date.
Can you move heavy equipment or specialized loads?
These requests are reviewed case by case, depending on the availability of qualified providers with the required vehicles and documents, and we tell you clearly what is available.
What happens after I submit a request?
The WASL team reviews your request and contacts you on the phone or WhatsApp number you entered to discuss the details and next steps.
