The problem
In Iraq today, many businesses rely on personal contacts or informal middlemen to find a truck, while many independent truck drivers spend a lot of time searching for a load or drive back empty after a delivery. There is no unified, trustworthy way to connect the two sides transparently.
Our approach
WASL is a digital marketplace — it is not a trucking company and does not own trucks. Shippers post their load details, and independent, approved truck drivers submit competitive price offers on them. The shipper compares offers and chooses the right driver — the decision is always theirs.
Our mission
We are working to make freight transport inside Iraq more transparent and efficient, starting with the Baghdad–Basra corridor, then expanding gradually to other cities and governorates as the platform grows.
Where we are today
WASL is currently available in Baghdad and Basra. We carefully review driver accounts and truck documents before allowing full participation.
